Our healthcare facilities are staffed by Kim Yeargin, M.D. our medical director and five experienced P.A.’s Mike Guillette, Janelle Stewart, Sara Burcham, Matt Byers and Stephanie Connely who have a combined total of over 56 years’ experience in family practice, orthopedics, emergency departments and urgent cares between them.
Kimberlee Yeargin, M.D.
Dr. Yeargin attended medical school at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. She completed her residency at Madigan Army Medical Center-University of Washington, Fort Lewis/Seattle, Washington. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. She was the Trauma Medical Director at Highline Medical Center in Burien, WA for 7 years. In 2014 Dr. Yeargin moved to Durango to work with Southwest Emergency Physicians at Mercy Regional Medical Center. In 2015 she joined Durango Urgent Care as our medical director.
Janelle Stewart, PA-C
Janelle Stewart, PA-C obtained her Master’s of Physician Assistant from University of Utah, Cum Laude in August of 2012. She was a physician’s assistant with Southwest Emergency Physicians before joining the Durango Urgent Care team. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she was a Physical Therapist for 10 years. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants and the Utah Academy of Physician Assistants.
Mike Guillette, PA-C
Michael Guillette, PA-C graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine MEDEX Northwest in 1996 and has 24 years local experience working as a Physician’s Assistant. Starting in Family Medicine in Durango, he has practiced in various settings including Mancos Family Medicine and in the Emergency Department at Mercy Regional Medical Center. He holds professional memberships with the American Association of Physician Assistants, Colorado Association of Physician Assistants, Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants, and the Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants. He has worked as a professional Ski Patrolman at Taos Ski Valley and enjoys hunting and fishing in SW Colorado.
Sara Burcham, PA-C
Sara graduated from the Lemoyne College, Syracuse NY. She has over 12 years experience as a physician assistant in urgent care & family medicine. She divides her time between Durango Urgent Care and Aztec Urgent Care.
Matt Byers, PA-C
Matt graduated from Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program in 2010 and he joined our team at Aztec and Durango Urgent Care in 2018. Matt has over two years experience in urgent care and seven in orthopedics. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Stephanie Connely, PA-C
Stephanie completed her Physician Assistant Program at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky in 2018. Stephanie works shifts in both the Durango and Aztec Urgent Care facilities. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
