I saw Amanda and Sara today - they were so lovely. Sara I was told was just sitting in so she didn’t say very much of course, but Amanda was an absolute gem. If more people in healthcare were like her, the world would be a much better place to live in. I came from North Carolina where I have consistently been treated awful by multiple practitioners and their staff, but today more than made up for it. Everyone was so kind and friendly and supportive-it made me want to cry. I hope I don’t need to go back anytime soon, but if I do, Amanda is definitely a wonderful PA-C to request. I can’t say enough good things about her, and I hope all of the warmth and genuine concern for her patients comes back to her tenfold in good karma. Wish I could give more stars than five.

I had seen my PCP earlier that day and felt that I was dismissed. I wanted a second opinion via X-rays s/p a 6ft fall off a ledge that gave way. We were passing through town on a trip to Pagosa Springs and realized that our daughter had an ear infection. Took my pain seriously, worked out pain relief that would work for me, and walked me through how to take care of my injury afterwards and was still time efficient. After this visit I felt both physically better but also emotionally better knowing confidently that I wouldn't be needing surgery, and knowing what I needed to watch out for to keep it from getting that bad. I have rarely had a doctor who paid attention to both pain and injury severity, it was a breath of fresh air to have an injury that would get better on its own and still get support with pain and recovery.

Received an appointment quickly, about an hour wait; OK for urgent care. Provider was nice, responsive to the allergy skin condition I had. I was given 5 days of 60mg Prednisone, decreasing to 40mg and topical steroids. This does was very high, after 5 days I was left shaking, blood pressure high and the skin condition was not controlled, hives, red and itch spread to my entire face, neck and chest. Went to my primary provider who gave me a Solumedrol injection and 7 more days Prednisone at 20 mg, decreasing to 10mg, then 5 mg. Also added supplements and OTC antihistamine combinations. No more topical steroids as these made the condition worse. Following up with Dermatology.

If could give them 6 stars, I would. I am an out-of-town traveller and Dr. Nick Armano saw me and examined my right ankle, which I'd recently injured. He got me 3 X-rays immediately in their clinic and found a hairline fracture. While not the news I wanted, he gave me a protective boot, crutches and great advice about taking care of myself going forward. Not being from the area, I did a quick Google search and found this UC—I’m glad that I did! I’m an emergency physician with almost a decade of experience, and if I’m honest, urgent care facilities in my home town can be hit or miss. Not so in Durango! Sean was methodical and thorough in his assessment and did a great job diagnosing our little girl with strep. I’d let him care for my family 10/10 times. Great job to the whole staff at DUC!

I went to urgent care in one of the most painful sicknesses I’ve had yet! The front office staff was incredibly kind and calm. Dr. Nic was not only the nicest doctor I have ever met but he was super informative, to the point, and wanted what was best for me to get better. He found out what the issue was in minutes, or at least it felt like it because he was so fast! I’m definitely coming to this urgent care if I need friendly, comfortable, and overall great service.

I went in because I had a clogged ear, that was draining and I couldn't hear out of, from having the flu. Nick made sure to ask about all my symptoms and look at my ear. He said I had a pin size whole in my ear drum. He made sure to explain what that meant, how long it would take to heal, and what to expect as it was healing, why he was putting me on the medication he was, and how to take care of my ear while it was healing. I left knowing I would start to feel better soon.

Dr. Patrick was professional, listened to my concerns and ran some tests. He asked if I wanted to wait the 45 minutes for the results in the office or at home. I appreciated that offer because I was super sick and wanted to go back home. He called with the results exactly when he said he'd get them and provided me with medication options. Overall an easy experience.

We were in Drango on vacation and I had a cough for a week that simply would not let up. At 83 I was getting quite concerned. My husband located Durango Urgent Care on Google. They were wonderful! They took us right in, saw me quite quickly, assessed by symptoms, checked my lungs and found them clear, gave me a couple prescriptions to help relieve symptoms, and assured me I would no doubt be getting better in another week, that I simply had a virus that was making the rounds. That reassured me, though it did not much encourage me on vacation. Their fee was not outrageous either!

My visit was great - receptionist was so nice - she got me in right away - Dr Cain was very good - he checked me out thoroughly and ordered me meds and had me on my way quickly!
